I got the bug for strength training early in life. As a young person, I was obsessed with creating the "perfect" program for myself and for my friends. Later, I was able to make the career switch to helping others in fitness.

I found TRIBE Fitness in 2011, and helped to develop a full-body strength workout using the reformer - now Power Reformer. It has become such a powerful workout. I have seen many hundreds devote themselves to this workout and make powerful changes due to this uniquely accessible, low impact yet rigorous and progressive strength workout. My favorite move on the reformer is a horizontal lunge on the back end. It is both muscle and character building!

In 2022, my wife and I had the opportunity to become owners of Tribe Fitness. It is so gratifying to be a part of this team of true coaches who tirelessly devote themselves to guiding and motivating people of all backgrounds to the lifelong benefits of regular, meaningful strength training.

Outside of fitness, I enjoy travel, cooking, restaurants, and playing with Wilson, our mostly behaved French Bulldog.

  • Coach

My mission as a coach is to provide an inclusive, safe, and fun space for people of all backgrounds, abilities, and fitness levels.

I love coaching when the class is happy, sweaty, and smiling (and talking back). Movement is a personal passion of mine & I have a powerful desire to share it with others. I work full time for a large corporation and teaching fitness allows me to be present, creative and separates me from the pressure of the day job. My favorite class to take is Power Reformer Light. I am constantly moving, and Light allows me to slow down for a bit, plus, I always pick up a new movement or cue to use in my own classes. I travel for work and for pleasure and wherever I go, I always check out the local fitness studios. I’ve taken Zumba classes in Venice, Italy, TRX classes at Hames center in Sitka, Alaska, kettlebell classes in Toronto just to name a few.

Outside the gym my two 5-year-old dogs keep me busy with walks throughout the streets of Capitol Hill. I enjoy scouring vintage and thrift stores of treasures, indoor cycling, and French bakeries. I have a weakness for croissants!!

Our Coaches

  • Studio Director & Coach

My mission as a coach is to help others find their love for fitness and get them feeling strong and confident in all areas of life. My fitness journey started years ago when I was in college, when Pilates helped me rehab from a serious back injury. I fell in love with it and became a Pilates instructor in LA, and a while later a NASM certified trainer. I made it my (hobby) job to learn as much as I could about health and fitness, and have developed so much mental, emotional, and physical strength from years of hard work and experience in the fitness world. In 2021, after years of teaching and training only early mornings, evenings, and weekends, I took a leap from my career in the corporate world to enter fitness full time.

Why do I love it so much? I love the days when my clients and our members start to see results in how they feel (and look!). The days they don’t want to show up, but do anyway, and still give it their all. The days we make a breakthrough with form or go heavier on a lift after weeks of effort. Seeing how training affects my clients and our members in all parts of their lives is what makes training so fulfilling for me.

Outside of work, I spend 99% of my time with my dog Roo! We love hiking, camping, frisbee, and going on walks around the city. I am a huge Kraken hockey and Chiefs football fan, love cooking and trying new restaurants, I run my own online coaching biz, and am a bodybuilder for fun.

  • Coach

My mission as a coach is to empower my clients to listen to their bodies and focus on progress over perfection. I love helping clients achieve their fitness goals and building a community that supports each other through various seasons of life.

After college I started my desk job and put on quite a bit of weight and Pilates classes helped me lose over 40 pounds. I wanted to share what Pilates had done for me with others so I became an instructor. My favorite Tribe class to teach is Reformer Pilates because I love connecting breath to movement and focusing slow movements that strengthen and lengthen muscles.

Outside the gym I spend my time working as a Business Intelligence Manager at Amazon,

walking my two dogs, Zoey and Shane, through volunteer park, and reading thriller/romance/fantasy books.

  • Coach

Fitness has always been my passion. I have over fifteen years experience in the industry working 1:1 with clients and instructing group classes. I help clients achieve their goals in a fun and respectful manner and enjoy helping them build their confidence in their abilities.

Known as a good listener , it's very important to me to hear my client’s needs whether you want to lose a few pounds, get stronger, or get help with chronic pain, I am very good at tailoring movements to you.

I am a Seattle native, I workout daily, and in my spare time I volunteer with a local dog rescue.

  • Coach

My mission as a trainer is to help people approach fitness in a sustainable and well-rounded way to improve physical, mental, and emotional health. Exercising should be about the celebration of movement and challenging ourselves to elicit long term growth! I love helping people discover their strengths, inside and outside of the gym, class, or session. It is my passion to encourage others to care for themselves long term, forming sustainable habits that improve their wellbeing long term.

My passion for movement stems from my background in dance where I became fascinated by the strength and artistry of the human body. My curiosity is what drove me to pursue my degree in biology, and in college I found a love for strength training and began studying to achieve my group fitness and functional training certifications.

My favorite Tribe class to take is Power Reformer because I love that it is a full body workout that challenges my balance, stamina, and strength. My favorite class to teach is Tone and Stretch because I love helping members release soreness and tension, while focusing on core, glute and back stability.

Outside of the gym I spend my free time in nature, trying out new recipes, listening to live music, and taking dance classes. I have a huge passion for health and wellness and hope to apply for graduate school to achieve a doctorate in Physical Therapy within the next year!

  • Coach

My mission as a coach is to meet people exactly where they are and provide a safe and welcoming environment that fosters the realization of one's own potential of physical and mental fitness through encouragement and feedback. As a public school special educator of teenagers and young adults with disabilities for 14+ years, I believe that every individual has the capacity for learning and enriching their lived experiences when provided the right conditions. Teaching in both public education and at fitness studios has provided me with fulfillment in getting to connect with people from all walks of life and witness their growth. As a person with a highly anxious baseline, movement has helped me channel energy from my mind to my body and understand the connection between them. However, it wasn't until later on in life that the shift began for me that I could actually consider myself a fitness person/professional, as I tended to view myself "on the outside." The shift began for me when I found COMMUNITY- through dance fitness and Reformer resistance training at Tribe.

My favorite part about teaching is witnessing that transformative shift in others. Asking for support and guidance from others has been essential in my development, and I look for opportunities to provide them to others. The truth is we all start as beginners.

Outside of the gym, I enjoy the arts- live music/theatre and connecting with nature, myself, and others.

  • Front Desk Associate

As a front desk associate, it is always my mission to make each and every client at Tribe Fitness feel that they are welcome. It is so important to me that every client has a positive experience with us.

Though I have always thought of myself as an introvert, there is a side of me that thrives when I connect with people. At Tribe, I absolutely love being one of the first points of contact during the client’s experience at Tribe Fitness.

Growing up, fitness was never really a part of my life, but once fitness did become a priority, it was truly life changing, not only for my physical health, but even more so for my mental health.

Outside of the gym, I love to spend quality time with my family, friends, and two French Bulldogs (Batman & Robyn). I also love to use my creativity while working on organizational projects for clients and have a passion for working with children.
