Marlys is a fully certified Equipment and Mat Pilates instructor, receiving her training from Balanced Body in San Francisco, CA and Vitality Pilates in Seattle, WA. She danced professionally for 5 years in a ballet company before exploring more contemporary movement; finding her place here in Seattle and now continues to perform across a wide rang of mediums. Her experience in dance as well as her knowledge of the Pilates system allows her to tailor specialized cross-training regiments that challenge and bring balance to the body. Marlys is excited to bring her skills to TRIBE and will be offering group classes as well as private sessions to clients of all ages, levels, and ability.

Amy Lenhardt

Method: Power BARRE
 
Originally from Orange County, Ca, Amy is a former professional dancer and certified Barre instructor, and has been teaching for over 10 years. As a professional dancer, she performed with numerous theatres in Southern California as well as places like Disneyland, House Blues Hollywood, and on ships with the Holland America Cruise Line. She spent seven years kickin’ it as a Radio City Rockette in New York, where she first discovered Barre. She immediately fell in love with the technique because it combined two of her favorite things- dance and fitness. After sustaining a broken foot and undergoing shoulder surgery, Barre became her go-to during recovery as the best low-impact workout that had a high enough intensity to maintain her strength. Amy is a brand new Seattle-ite, is loving getting to know this beautiful city, and is extremely excited to be TRIBE's Fitness Director (the reformer classes have changed her life!). Get ready for high energy, music based classes focused on specific muscle group strength and conditioning, with one or two (or three or four) jokes thrown in. She feels very blessed to have the opportunity to share her love of Barre and fitness with the TRIBE family!

Hilary White

Methods: Power Reformer, Power BARRE, Yoga, Front Desk Staff
 
Hilary was born and raised in the Seattle area and has been practicing various types of heated yoga for over 8 years throughout the Seattle area and Portland, OR. She earned her 200HR RYT at Urban Yoga Spa in March 2015 and her 50HR YST at the Core Power Queen Anne studio in November 2015. In June 2016, she completed her 50HR Barre Teacher Training at Barre Bohemian in West Seattle. Most recently she completed the TRIBE Fitness Power Reformer training. One might say she has a passion for learning, moving, and for pushing herself to continue to grow!

She fell in love with power vinyasa Yoga through the mixture of the heat & the challenging poses. Overtime, she saw visible growth in both her practice and life perspective. Her yoga practice is a moving meditation. She thrives to inspire students to find comfort in discomfort and to continue working towards finding their best selves!

Ashleigh Shane

Method: Power BARRE
 
Ashleigh discovered the magic that is yoga in 2008. She has been a dedicated student both on and off her mat ever since. An avid traveler, her yoga practice has been one of the few things with the constant ability to rival the thrill of seeing and experiencing a new place. Yoga has provided her with tangible tools to live a life inspired by authenticity and growth and she is continually moved by its transformative powers. She received her first 200 hour teaching certification in 2013, eager to share her passion and delight for yoga with those around her. Constant curiosity and her love of dance led her to become Barre certified in 2016 and she finds that teaching this new format is quite possibly the most fun you can have at “work”. Her classes seek to uplift, inspire and challenge students to honor and celebrate where they are each and every day. She truly believes that movement, coupled with a wicked playlist and a little bit of sweat can remedy just about anything.
This class blends together the best of: Ballet, Yoga, Pilates, and Core Conditioning & body sculpting. Get a complete body workout through a high energy and low impact class that tones your muscles with isolated movements, isometric exercises, orthopedic stretches and light weights complimented by a continual fat burning process. This class tones your seat, abdominals, thighs, arms as well as strengthens your legs, back and improves your posture. You will use our own body weight for resistance targeting each of your muscle groups to the point of fatigue. Then, you will stretch those muscles in a way that promotes long and lean muscle growth developing a sleek micro-targeted ballet body for a long & lean physique. Classes utilize light weights, stretch bands and, of course, the beautiful ballet barre, to lengthen and align the body. The Ballet Barre is Utilized (*No dance experience is required).
