Power Reformer Lite

Marlys is a fully certified Equipment and Mat Pilates instructor, receiving her training from Balanced Body in San Francisco, CA and Vitality Pilates in Seattle, WA. She danced professionally for 5 years in a ballet company before exploring more contemporary movement; finding her place here in Seattle and now continues to perform across a wide rang of mediums. Her experience in dance as well as her knowledge of the Pilates system allows her to tailor specialized cross-training regiments that challenge and bring balance to the body. Marlys is excited to bring her skills to TRIBE and will be offering group classes as well as private sessions to clients of all ages, levels, and ability.

Ashleigh Shane

Method: Power Reformer, Power BARRE
 
Ashleigh discovered the magic that is yoga in 2008. She has been a dedicated student both on and off her mat ever since. An avid traveler, her yoga practice has been one of the few things with the constant ability to rival the thrill of seeing and experiencing a new place. Yoga has provided her with tangible tools to live a life inspired by authenticity and growth and she is continually moved by its transformative powers. She received her first 200 hour teaching certification in 2013, eager to share her passion and delight for yoga with those around her. Constant curiosity and her love of dance led her to become Barre certified in 2016 and she finds that teaching this new format is quite possibly the most fun you can have at “work”. Her classes seek to uplift, inspire and challenge students to honor and celebrate where they are each and every day. She truly believes that movement, coupled with a wicked playlist and a little bit of sweat can remedy just about anything.

Amy Hollens

Methods: Power BARRE, Power Reformer
 
Originally from Orange County, Ca, Amy is a former professional dancer and certified Barre instructor, and has been teaching for over 10 years. As a professional dancer, she performed with numerous theatres in Southern California as well as places like Disneyland, House Blues Hollywood, and on ships with the Holland America Cruise Line. She spent seven years kickin’ it as a Radio City Rockette in New York, where she first discovered Barre. She immediately fell in love with the technique because it combined two of her favorite things- dance and fitness. After sustaining a broken foot and undergoing shoulder surgery, Barre became her go-to during recovery as the best low-impact workout that had a high enough intensity to maintain her strength. Amy is a brand new Seattle-ite, is loving getting to know this beautiful city, and is extremely excited to be TRIBE's Fitness Director (the reformer classes have changed her life!). Get ready for high energy, music based classes focused on specific muscle group strength and conditioning, with one or two (or three or four) jokes thrown in. She feels very blessed to have the opportunity to share her love of Barre and fitness with the TRIBE family!

Shana Davis

Methods: Power Reformer, Yoga
 
Shana’s background in yoga provides the foundation for her mind body approach to training, nutrition, stress reduction and overall wellbeing. A lifelong student of hatha yoga, Shana became certified to teach vinyasa flow in 2006. Realizing the importance of cross training in a variety of activities in order to achieve a balanced, well-conditioned body and a vibrant, stimulated mind, Shana began practicing a discipline of exercise that combined the fluidity of traditional Pilates with high intensity aerobic conditioning. She found this combination so effective and fun that she completed her SPX training in 2011 and began to teach Sebastian Lagree’s method of total body fitness. Shana’s philosophy is simple: “We’re designed to move and sweat, eat nutritionally dense food, drink water, rest, reflect, and repeat. Sometimes we lose sight of this, I’m here to help folks remember.”

Jessie Smith

Methods: Power Reformer, Reformer Pilates, Reformer: Tone and Stretch, Cardio Kickboxing, TRX&BARRE, Mat Blast, Personal Training
 
Jessie Smith, has over 17 years of fitness training and teaching, and has extensive pilates training through STOTT, PEAK and PAI. She is now leading various Pilates classes, TRX, Cardio Kickboxing, and Barre. Jessie brings a fun and playful energy to all of her classes. She strives to help people become inspired by their fitness routines. Her motto is "Move, and be moved". In addition to having a fun class, with THE BEST music mixes, be prepared to be challenged on every level.
Interested in Power Reformer but just starting out? No sweat. (Well, okay. Maybe a little.) Why not consider the Power Reformer Lite? It’s a “lite” version of our most sought-after, signature class, designed to help you fight the force—but with a little less intensity. Space is limited to 10 TRIBE members per class. Grip socks required (available for purchase).
